My first time ever doing yoga properly and at a studio. The studio is equipped with props which is one of the highlights for me, don’t ask me the type of yoga because that’s not even what Shama ma’am believes in, it’s more of a holistic approach (but yes the forms are mainly Hatha Yoga & Ashtanga Yoga! Infact she even does clinical yoga.
I’ve done aerial yoga at the studio as well and absolutely loved it. The studio is located in a bungalow so the surroundings are pretty serene.
I even had my wellness coaching done with Shama. Basically once you go to the studio there is so much to learn and amazing how much more we start respecting our bodies.
I absolutely love the atmosphere in the studio and ma’am is quite relaxed and fun while she is absolutely full of knowledge about the mind and the body.
Speaking of the workout perspective it’s a one hour session which mostly get extended to an hour and fifteen which shows that it isn’t just a time bound thing. Done, out and leave. Shama is ever ready to help you and is a great guide if you wish to learn yoga and seek a Guru.

The owner and Instructor of the studio, Shama has a unique way to connect with all participants in her class and making you feel comfortable in your own pace (where you never compare yourself with others flexibility), as she regularly says it’s an individual’s journey .
She follows both traditional (Ashtanga and Hatha yoga) and modern way of yoga practice in her sessions with all kind of props. I have gained the lost connection of my body with mind within a few sessions with her.
Shama focuses not only in traditional form of yoga asanas but also breathing techniques (pranayama) in each class. I found myself very comfortable that rarely happen with me as I take usually long time to adjust in a new setting.
Shama has in-depth knowledge about traditional yoga and she has made it flexible by adding all available props (aerial too).

From IIT Mumbai to yoga, our path to Samsara was unconventional. Shama’s lifelong yoga practice and Vikas’s deep dive into meditation and the mysteries of the mind shaped our approach.
We expanded our expertise with Fellowships in Nutritional & Environmental Medicine (FINEM) and various other trainings.
