The serene and welcoming atmosphere of the studio added to the overall experience, resulting in a truly transformative journey. Allow me to elaborate on why I wholeheartedly recommend this outstanding yoga studio:
1. Guru: It’s challenging to find the right words to describe Shama mam adequately. Her expertise in various yoga practices is truly remarkable, and her passion for imparting knowledge and fostering student growth is evident in every session. Shama mam goes above and beyond to ensure that we grasp the authentic essence of yoga. Her ability to cultivate a nurturing and encouraging environment benefits beginners like myself, making us feel at ease and motivated.
2. Diverse Range of Classes: The course provided an extensive array of subjects, spanning from gentle and restorative yoga to invigorating vinyasa yoga sessions. It delved deep into the foundations of yoga by exploring its rich historical background. The inclusion of Bhagavad Gita lectures added an unforgettable dimension of self-realization to the experience.
This course stands out for its in-depth exploration of the science underlying physical and psychological issues, demonstrating how straightforward yogic practices can offer highly effective solutions. It’s a holistic journey encompassing the body, mind, and beyond. I acquired the art of finding balance and mindfulness, which has left a profound impact on my daily life.
3. Personalized Attention: Despite having a full class, Shama mam managed to provide personalized attention and adjustments, ensuring that I was practising safely and effectively. This level of personalized care made me feel valued as a student.

Cheryl Kennet, Toronto
Shama, the owner and founder of Samsara – The Yoga Studio (RYS 200) and the teacher for this program, was approachable, dedicated, knowledgeable and very attentive to my needs throughout the program. She provided detailed instructions during Asana practice and instilled in me an appreciation for life. I was awed every day studying the intricacies of the human body and was drawn by her immense knowledge of the human being as a whole and the nature of the mind, Manas, Buddhi, Ahankar, chitta.
The program was very thorough and well organized. In spite of being online, it was an enjoyable interaction!
It included a great variety of topics like ‘The History and philosophy of yoga’, ‘Anatomy’, ‘The in-depth study of Asanas’ (physical poses), ‘Restorative yoga’, ‘Meditation’, ‘Pranayama’, ‘Chakras’, and much more… Although I did miss the in-studio practice and social interaction as it was for most of us during that time, the online training allowed me to be more independent and complete the course at my own pace, giving me time to Integrate Yoga into Life Beyond the Studio. Shama doesn’t believe in spoon-feeding and encourages you to be responsible for your own learning, which I respect immensely.
‘Samsara’ has a great community, and it has been wonderful to connect with the other members online.
For anyone looking to become a Yoga teacher, I highly recommend the Teacher training program at Samsara -The Yoga Studio, as this undoubtedly is one of the finest and profound training programs out there in Pune.”

Yoga Course: The course was well-structured, offering a perfect balance of foundational principles and more advanced techniques as the course work progressed. Shama maam structured the practical class & course work strategically which, when attended regularly, gave me a better understanding of the concepts. During practice, I appreciated how the progression was gradual, allowing me to develop both strength and flexibility at my own pace. She made it a point to take up the theorectical & practical aspects parallelly. The class content was varied, and each session built upon the last or the course work taken up during the theorectical classes, ensuring that I stayed engaged and constantly challenged.
Maam also included elements of mindfulness and meditation during the theorectical online classes as well, making it more than just a physical practice. The homework allotted by her was also very creative, thought provoking & interesting. The exam pattern is also structured in a way that it includes all aspects of concepts covered in theoretical classes & the physical practice classes, combined.
Instructor: Shama maam is an exceptional teacher! Her clear, detailed instructions made it easy to follow along, even as a beginner to the course. Infact, she has been very cordial & understanding since day1 of the course. What stood out the most was their ability to offer individual adjustments and modifications, which made me feel supported throughout. She created a calm, inclusive atmosphere that encouraged growth while ensuring everyone feels comfortable. She also took time to answer questions after/during class, fostering a real sense of community. Her knowledge base especially about Anatomy is very crisp & on point!
Special mention to Neelu maam for she was always there on Saturdays when I was at the studio, helping me nurture & grow.
A big shout out to Vikas sir for sharing his indepth knowledge, I m eager to attend more of his classes in the future.
Studio: The studio itself is a peaceful and inviting space. It’s clean, spacious, and has a calming energy that makes it the perfect environment for yoga practice. The lighting is thoughtfully chosen, enhancing the overall experience. I also appreciate the studio’s commitment to hygiene and comfort, with ample props, mats, and blankets available for every class.
Overall Experience: I highly recommend Samsara and Shama maam to anyone looking for a yoga course that combines physical challenge, relaxation, and mindfulness. The community atmosphere and expert guidance make it a standout experience. She is an excellent guide & teacher who carries years of practice, knowledge & expertise. With the learnings that she imparted to me, I was able to begin & help my family members for any physical health issues they are/were going through. I’m grateful to have her as my teacher. Thanking her for all the help, support & guidance so far! Best wishes to Samsara for the journey ahead.”

This is not your regular yoga syllabus, she will actually teach you to integrate your body and mind at a deeper level and help you find the true meaning of “I” or “SELF”. Topics like philosophy of Yoga, anatomy, asanas, breathwork, meditation, restorative yoga etc are all part of the syllabus. She went through most of the topics over and over again till I understood the concepts crisp and clear.
Also the reason I call her “My Guru” is she doesn’t believe in spoon feeding and not to forget this is is the only studio that allows its trainees to take as many as classes till the time they feel confident and independent enough to run their own show.
Every word she speaks shows her dedication, passion and love towards what she does!! She has a very strong aura that can make you feel calm the moment you meet her.
I have decided to stick to her for a brief period and I have now enrolled for the medical yoga course too.
Her knowledge and expertise has no par.
Anybody who wants to learn about body and mind at a deep level, look no further this is your place. Visit to experience it 🙂”

Manpreet Kaur, San Jose
Intrigued, I returned home and connected with Shama Ma’am. Almost immediately after our first meeting, I knew I wanted to embark on this journey with her.
During our first interaction, Ma’am asked me a profound question: “Who am I?” I gave several answers, only to quickly realize that this was the beginning of an incredible journey of self-discovery and learning.
Throughout the course, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the rich philosophy of yoga, which has stayed with me since day one. I am truly grateful to Ma’am for introducing me to this wholesome and transformative journey. While some of the discussions we had didn’t make sense to me right away, I’ve found myself recalling them in real-life situations, gradually understanding their deeper meanings over time.
Shama Ma’am is a treasure trove of knowledge on human well-being. Her unique style of explaining nutrition, asanas, and life’s many questions is truly inspiring. Meditation, as emphasized by Ma’am, has become an integral part of my life.
This journey with Shama Ma’am had a clear beginning but feels endless in its impact. I carry her wisdom with me, helping me navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and mindfulness.
Thank you, Ma’am, for accepting me as your student and guiding me on this remarkable path..”

Amol Patgaonkar, Iowa
In my first few classes, my understanding of Yoga, being Asana focused, changed completely. I learned asanas with proper form and alignment, cleansing techniques, Pranayam, breathing and meditation techniques.
The best part of learning this with Shama ma’am is that there is no time limit to any of the above topics. You can come back with questions, and she is always there to answer the queries or to repeat the concepts. This course is not about theoretical teaching from a book, but from Shama ma’am’s wealth of knowledge. She makes sure you learn doing the actual practice and also refers to lot of different resources to learn.
In the studio, I could learn Asanas with props and also variation of asanas. I got good understanding of creating sequences based on anatomy, different flows covering Sukshma vyayam, pranayam and focus on asanas for different needs. The studio is well equipped to practices asanas with props , ropes and spacious to cover many students.
I also got a very good understanding of nutrition and benefits of supplements. These changes have shown improvements in my health.
This course has further helped me in looking at life from a completely different perspective. It has helped me in my work and personal life, to implement the teachings for the betterment of me and my family. The overall experience has made me understand that I am still at the start of the learning journey, but I have the required resources and guide to make progress on this journey.
I feel I am lucky to have found Shama ma’am, a Guru for life time. I would highly recommend this course as well as Samsara Yoga Studio for anyone who is planning to embark on the Yoga journey.”

In my quest for a professional yoga teacher certification, I got Shama madam’s reference through my sister who is an old friend of hers. I joined the RYT 200 course with the expectation of bolstering my existing knowledge of yogasanas and their teaching methods. But this course and more than that, Shama madam’s mentorship has definitely exceeded my expectations and taken my knowledge and skill to an entirely new level. The most important aspect which I realized was that yoga is less about asanas and pranayam and more about the cessation of mental modifications.
Shama’s passion and dedication for yoga is most infectious. She’s definitely the best teacher I’ve been taught by and I consider myself fortunate to do so at a vital juncture of my life. The best thing about Shama is the way she develops a personal bond with all her students and allows them to nurture their love for this subject. This approach helped me in establishing an analogy between the human anatomy and mechanisms which I could leverage to develop insight about the role played by various muscle groups in performing different asanas.
To top it all, Samsara is a fantastic yoga studio to learn and practise as this place is equipped with all the props needed to perform different yoga styles. Overall, I’ve had an enlightening and enriching experience of doing the RYT 200 course at Samsara.
I’d strongly recommend Samsara to anyone desirous of inculcating yoga in their lives.”

Radhika Chandra, Minnesota
This course allowed me to better my mind, and body and taught me how to help others do the same. I will always be thankful for this course and especially Shama ma’am because it has improved my life exponentially. Shama ma’am taught me to turn my attention to my own body and prioritize my health. I learned more about my body and the state of my mind, as well as how to push them to their limits to unlock their full potential. By working on improving my health, eventually, I saw improvements in all other aspects of my life.
Throughout this course, I was able to learn about anatomy, philosophy, psychology, asanas, and meditation. More than just learning about these subjects I was also given the tools to apply them to my own life. I was able to use the knowledge I gained from this course to avoid illness, improve concentration, and remain peaceful. This course has helped me tremendously, and more importantly, it has given me the ability to help others.
For these reasons I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to improve their lives. This course and Samsara studio will allow you to approach your own life with a better mindset and only prove beneficial to you and those around you.”

Earlier I had attended courses at various institutes to learn yoga but my experience with Samsara The Yoga Studio has been the most enriching. Your teaching method includes theory and practical which are very easy to understand. You made me understand how each Asanas and Pranayama affects different parts of human body and mind. I appreciate your enduring efforts to teach me until I was able to digest the concept.
I loved attending Samsara The Yoga Studio so much that I wish I could have continued many more weeks. But I am leaving but only due to other commitments at family front. However I will make my best attempt to teach others whatever I learnt at Samsara. I am sure that you both would support me throughout my life in my efforts.
I will always cherish these wonderful memories and fruitful time spent at Samsara The Yoga Studio.”

Mallika Aggarwal, New York
She doesn’t believe in spoon feeding. I was encouraged to gain my own insights through experiential learning and delve into the intricacies of yoga at my own pace.
She combines scientific teachings like anatomy and physiology with the practice of yoga asanas to give an in-depth understanding of the benefits of each asana.
She encouraged us to apprentice while she was teaching so that we learnt how to tackle common problems faced by potential clients. Her studio has a very calming vibe and is well equipped with props.
She made sure to give all the trainees adequate attention and one-on-one guidance so that we are completely prepared to enter the field of yoga as teachers with confidence. I have noticed a drastic change in myself and have begun to incorporate the yoga culture into my lifestyle.
Selecting Samsara The Yoga Studio was a wise decision and I’m happy that I began my yoga journey with Shama ma’am.”

Walking into the studio for the first time was intimidating for me as an introvert. I wasn’t sure how I would fit into this new environment. The studio felt quiet, welcoming, and free of judgment. There was a sense of openness in the energy of the studio itself, which encouraged me to open up in my own time. The real turning point was meeting Ms. Shama Rana, the incredible owner and founder and one of the most compassionate instructors. She has this rare and extraordinary ability to see people for who they truly are. From the very beginning, she seemed to understand my struggles as an introvert. Through her gentle guidance and unwavering support, she created a space where I felt truly valued and approached each interaction with warmth and empathy.
In her classes, she struck a perfect balance between challenging us to push beyond our perceived limits and reminding us to honour where we were in each moment. Shama ma’am wove wisdom, encouragement, and compassion into every lesson. She often reminded us that yoga is not just about physical flexibility but also self-acceptance. Her words resonated deeply with me, planting seeds of confidence that began to grow with each passing day and within months I saw a complete new me.
What truly set her apart was her personal investment in my growth. She noticed when I was hesitant to speak up or step out of my comfort zone, and she always found ways to encourage me. Whether it was a kind word after class, a small acknowledgment of my progress, or simply her reassuring presence, she had a way of making me feel safe enough to take small but significant steps towards opening up. Over time, her influence transformed me. I went from being a reserved introvert to someone who could confidently connect with others. I would truly express my heartiest gratitude towards her!
The course curriculum at Samsara was thoughtfully designed to provide a comprehensive and balanced understanding of yoga. It seamlessly blended theoretical knowledge with practical application. The online theory classes with Shama Ma’am were particularly impressive, offering a deep dive into the philosophical nd historical aspects of yoga. Despite being virtual, the classes were incredibly engaging, with a clear, structured approach that made even complex concepts easy to understand.
The practical sessions at the studio, led by Shama Ma’am, brought the theory to life. Shama Ma’am’s expert guidance created a learning environment where we could explore asanas, pranayama, and meditation in depth. Every aspect of the curriculum felt carefully crafted to provide a gradual yet profound understanding of yoga as a holistic practice. The balance of online and in-studio learning, combined with Shama Ma’am’s wisdom and the studio’s supportive environment, made each session a transformative experience. It wasn’t just about gaining certification—it was about embarking on a journey of self-discovery and growth that will stay with me for a lifetime.
The teachers at Samsara are truly the heart and soul of the studio, each bringing their unique energy, passion, and expertise to every session. Their deep knowledge of yoga was evident in every interaction, making every class an opportunity for growth and learning. Each teacher brought something special to the table. One might focus on precision and alignment, while another would lead us into a meditative flow that connected movement with breath in the most harmonious way. Their diverse approaches made every session feel fresh and engaging.
Samsara The Yoga Studio has left an indelible mark on my heart. It’s not just a place to learn yoga—it’s a space to transform, to heal, and to connect deeply with yourself and others. If you’re considering embarking on your yoga teacher training, I wholeheartedly recommend Samsara. It’s a decision that will enrich your life in ways you cannot imagine!”

With Shama I learnt the real meaning of yog. The course is extensive with in-depth learning of human body, physical, subtle and beyond.
Shama is a guide in the real sense, very knowledgable, patient, flexible yet strict, focussing and correcting us till the last muscle.
She is a master in perfecting every asana, postural corrections, and the know-how of every asana that can make a big difference. Always ready to give us individual attention and time to answer our queries, big or small. She is ever enthusiastic to discuss higher-order topics and clear our doubts.
Every time I have a discussion with her, I get a different perspective of life. It has been a wonderful journey being associated with her and hope to continue to learn and grow with her for a good time to come.”
